More Biscuit Baking Mix Recipes

Entries for Biscuit Baking Mix Day, which is officially Thursday, continue to trickle in.

The latest is a double-header: A pair of sweet biscuit recipes from Paul at Cookies & Etc. The photo, which is Paul's, says it all.

Since I love this sort of thing, I am having a tough time suppressing my appetite.

I'll post links here as they come in, and the rest on the designated day itself.

When I can, I will post photos, too, if no one minds.

To date, other participates have been Sher at What Did You Eat? with an "Impossible Pie" (and a real surprise today!) and Tanna from My Kitchen in Half Cups with Sausage-cheese Balls.

Also checking in were Glenna from A Fridge Full of Food with Buttermilk Pie and Tracy at Kitchen Spark offered cakey cinnamon scones

Writer and blogger Laura Florand has offered her perspective on civility and niceness, which is what this whole thing is all about.

I will post links now through March 15.

Thank you all for participating.

All I ask is your patience and forgiveness if I mess something up: I have to do this befor work, sometimes even before a full cup of coffee.

That's exactly what it is, Lydia, it's all in good fun.

Happy to have come across your blog! Mmmmm...I may learn a few things. My family loves biscuits. Memories of the family around the table wouldn't be the same without them! Cheers! Heidi

Relax Mimi. Remember patience and forgiveness for yourself too. I'll be easy. The bisquick idea is a fun one.

Thanks, Tanna, I have a tendency to make errors before a full tank of caffeine in the morning, something I will never give up.

Heidi, I feel the same way about your blog. Those bisquits are great comfort food!

Mimi, I had to send these with Lorrie to work because they were way too tempting.

This has been fun--and I did another one! Yes, I was Triple Dog Dared to make Mac & Cheese with Cheetos Topping. So, I did. And it was great fun. With Impossble Pie, you could do one a week all year. Great event, Mimi.

That.s the sort of baking I might be tempted to fill my face with, Paul. Best to let someone else have them.

Sher, I'm going to try that one with low-carb pasta. OMG.

I don't think we sell biscuit mix here, more's the pity (well, our biscuits are something altogether different anyway) but I look forward to seeing all the entrants!

I like your biscuits, too.

Especially chocolate.

I can't wait to hunt for baking mix at Monoprix in Paris. Heavens, you can buy everything else there!

I love Monoprix, Mimi. Every year I buy Amora mustard, Maille cornichons and Génie (a laundry soap for handwashing, it makes my sweaters smell heavenly). At customs they're always looking for the charcuterie, cheese and booze and are confused by my booty.

I'm doing my biscuit recipe tonight and will have a link for you by tomorrow, I hope that's o.k..

Sounds good, Mary!

This is turning into bisquit baking mix week! Fun.

Last time I brought rice, mustard, jam, aioli and olives home. The only thing they balked at were the olives. Customs at Detroit are a bit surly...

If I made a tray of bisquick biscuts I'm afraid I would eat the whole tray...especially now that I've discovered lemon curd and mascarpone......drooling now

Mimi said...

Wow, I'd eat the whole batch, too, with that combination spread on them.

Okay! I was in the store today and just happened to be in the flour isle and just happened to espy a box of the heart smart Bisquik, so now I've got to get my buns in gear to make the Thursday deadline. Do we have until midnight? I might need it.
:))

There are so many American food items available now in France, but I have NEVER seen Bisquik -- but it probably is in some stores in the biggest cities.

Anytime is fine, Christine. I found a recipes for crepes, but I am not sure if it will work with Heart-Smart, nor do I think I will have time to make it, so I may have to settle for something else.

BC, I stumbled across an old Chocolate and Zucchini post about it with I will try to llink to — there are mixes for many things, but no mention of biscuit mix...
