Sweets and Flowers

This year I bought four red heart-shaped ramekins, hoping to impress you with some delectable dessert.

Last year it was a heart-shaped cake mold.

As usual, I had good intentions but little time. And as usual, the day sort of sneaked up on me.

So I leave you with these desserts from the bakery on Avenue de la Bourdonnais, at the the foot of the Eiffel Tower and some lovely late-spring blooms from the Jardin des Plantes on the other end of the Left Banke.

Enjoy!

Oh, but Mimi, these are from your heart. Much more meaningful than heart shaped anything!

I know you are eagerly looking out for the signs of a thaw and some warmer weather, spring is just around the corner.

Meantime I would love a few bites of each and every one of those desserts from Avenue de la Bourdonnals. Divine :)

Thanks for answering the meme. I enjoy a lot of things you mentioned too. BTW, I could not comment on it directly -- for some reason the comment function was not posted for that post. I wonder why? It will make it hard for others to respond...

Have a great weekend!

Thanks, Fi - I would love to be able to enjoy those desserts. But you are right: A few bites are enough, as theya re very sweet.

BC, sometimes that happens with Blogger for me - I will go check it. A busy week here!
