We tried many regional products, from chevre from Rocamadour to duck to walnuts to figs, and drank copious bottles of the legendary black wine of Cahors. Fruity on the palate and easy on the stomach.
We have one whole day in Paris! We may just hang out in the Marais, where we are staying. The Hotel Marceau Bastille, which gave us a lovely welcome, even though we walked in the rain from Gare d'Austerlitz earlier this afternoon.
We also had a lovely experience at Le Hotel Terminus Lyon two weeks ago.
And we continue to meet very friendly French people.
Now I have to go deal with the blogger who ripped off a good part of a blog post of mine from August 16, 2007, "A Subtle Shift in Seasons." I won't name names online, but I have tracked the person down and have alerted some additional sources. If you would like to see the link to this post, simply look at the comments section under my previous post below. Why do people think they can get away with this stuff?
Thanks to the anonymous poster or posters who alerted me to this incident. Funny thing, as I recall this post was also picked up by a legitimate blogger with full credit given to me and a link.

I'm so sorry you had to deal with a thief. I guess I just don't understand people.
I'm so glad you are having a wonderful time and I can hardly wait for you to get back and share all the details.
I kept a diary, Judy, and took photos of a lot of our meals. Much more to come.
From my research, it looks like a lot of other bloggers have had issues with this particular blogger.
Here it is Friday night in Paris and I am glued to my laptop!
Something is wrong with this scene!
I will make up for it tomorrow.
Mimi
I'm so glad that you are having a wonderful time and I'm sorry that a thief has disrupted it. Looking forward to the "more to come"!
Mimi - I was just thinking about you and your blog when I got home from work tonight and sat down to check e-mail and my favorite blogs. I am so glad you are having a wonderful time and and away from all this craziness that's going on here right now. Have a wonderful rest of your trip. We can't wait for the details!
Trish
Thanks, Roxie! I have much, much more to come.
Trish, craziness indeed! It;s going on here, too, as all the French TV commentators talk about is the lousy economy, le panique.
Sacre bleu!
I'm glad you are having a wonderful time too :) It will be hard coming back down to earth again on arriving home. I hope you have lots of wonderful French food in your suitcases.
I'm sorry about the cyberspace thief Mimi, this has been happening to me over a number of years and it continues... Its a jungle out there.
Mimi get that thief but enjoy France first! If you stress too much the bastard wins twice!
Have a laudree cassis macaroon for me Mimi! Enjoy.
Sounds like you've experienced some wonderful food (and good weather). Hope to see lots of photos on your return!
Isn't Rocamadour wonderful! Sounds like you've had a wonderful time and can't wait to see all of your photos and hear your stories.
Sounds like you are having a wonderful vacation! I look forward to the weeks/months of followup. You stretch it out so nicely for us...like a 6 month vacation!
Too bad about the thief. Imitation is the highest form of flattery, but plagiarism is NOT!
Eileen, we were very lucky with the weather! Even in Paris, where we had lots of rain when we went last year.
Loulou, I thought of you when I took detail shots!
Cyn, I was just thinking about you this a.m.!!!
I'm crazy about these little Rocamadours. You are on a great blogging spree -- go for it!
I wish I could think about other things besides politics.
Mimi
