Blog breaks are healthy. I was on one for quite a while as you know. I was happy to find you still out there when I got back, but I know our paths will cross again.
Thanks, Betty. I can't do a good job at this right now because there are too many distractions, such as my mother's illness, my husband's health and some work-related projects that will dominate my time for the next few months.
As always Mimi - we'll miss you when you're gone but look forward to your return. Maybe in the spring? These cold gloomy days in Nebraska make it hard to do anything but want to hibernate - hope you'll be in touch via Facebook now and then - you'll be in my thoughts..
You will be missed Mimi, but I am beginning to understand how at some point I will need a break too. Hope all goes well with your Mother and your husband's health issues. Hope to see you back here again refreshed and light in spirit. You have been an inspiration.
I know just how you feel, Mimi. I'm on hiatus also. I wish you peace and serenity as you go through what must be a trying time for you. I am just an email away should you need a friend. Be well.
I've gone on breaks in the past, but for some reason I never bother to mention the fact that I'm on a break. But when health issues start to arise, it is most definitely time for a break. We will all miss you, and I'm sure we're all holding your mom and husband in our thoughts.
I understand the need to take a break now and then. Looking forward to your return when you are ready. I have to visit Paris vicariously through you, you know.
Hope everything gets back on track health-wise and work-wise. I do also think it is healthy to take a break. It should be a stress-reliever, not a creator. See you in spring!
I will miss your colorful chronicles and photos. But how well I understand your position especially considering your personal and professional obligations... I sometimes think about going into the same kind of temporary leave of absence. Best wishes for... everything. Alain
Thinking of you,Mimi.......all of us need breaks now and then. I do hope everything works out well for you and your family. Please take care..........xoxo
Thank you all for your kind words and nice comments. As winter drew to a close, my husband had surgery again and I caught my second cold since January. We had a lot of snow. When I was not ailing, I spent a good deal of time with my mother, who suffers from Alzheimers. We went through a period of semi-homemade food, and now I understand the attraction there. It's all part of the growth process, I guess.

Time to regroup and focus on home and family.... We'll all still be here when you return - and thinking of you until then.
