Like you, I live in a part of the country where apples are native. It's a great way to "veganize" a recipe, too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29556015.post-13851561547599247232008-12-07T10:56:00.000-06:002008-12-07T10:56:00.000-06:00My favorite, too, Kalyn, and I get so much inspira...My favorite, too, Kalyn, and I get so much inspiration from you!

Christinw, I can't take credit for the cider glaze, but it was great!

Katie, we never got to Rocamadour, but I did find lots of cheese in Cahors. We made it to St. Cirq LaPopie, Montcuq, La-Roque-Gageac, Luzech. Albas and a few other little villages. We both came down with mild colds mid-trip. We should have brought flannels: Days were warm, nights were cold.

Trish, let me know how it all turns out!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10904171824244129391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29556015.post-61838014782046415462008-12-07T08:44:00.000-06:002008-12-07T08:44:00.000-06:00This looks wonderful. I'm just finally getting over a major dose of what ever it is that's floating around now - I was off work most of last week huddled under the covers wishing for something like this. I am trying the roast chicken with pears and shallots tonight and will actually be brave and save the carcass and try my first ever time at making stock. Great recipes as usual!

TrishTNelsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05626459893761868590noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29556015.post-6117286947467132982008-12-07T07:25:00.000-06:002008-12-07T07:25:00.000-06:00The soup looks delicious!
